CURRENT BOARD OF DIRECTORS
I graduated from Massage School at Northern Lights School of Massage Therapy in Minneapolis, in 2001. I have a private practice in St. Louis Park where I share an office with 3 chiropractors, another MT and a yoga instructor. I have been there for 5 years. Prior to my own practice, I worked most of my career with Life Time Fitness. I have been a AMTA member since school and I have volunteered with them just as long. When I am not working or volunteering with the AMTA, you can find me in my garden or at the Target Center, cheering on our Minnesota Lynx!! I am excited to be your AMTA – MN Chapter President for the next 2 years!
I graduated with honors from Seattle Massage School in Seattle, WA the summer of 1996. I grew up in Seattle Washington, moved to Missoula Montana in 2000 where I lived for 11 years before moving to Minneapolis with my family in 2011. From 2004-2011 I served as the 3 Vice President and Government Relations Chair on the Montana AMTA Chapter board. I look forward to the opportunity to serve on the AMTA MN chapter board as the 1 Vice President and to continue to support the mission of AMTA and the Minnesota Massage Therapy Profession.
I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a BS in Special Education in 1976. After twenty three years of working in human services supervising group homes for individuals who have cognitive and physical disabilities I made a career change in 2001 by attending Northwestern Health Sciences University, School of Massage Therapy, and graduated in December 2002. I am an Independent Contractor at Courage Kenney Rehabilitation Institute (formerly Courage Center) in Golden Valley, and I see clients who have disabilities in four different group homes. I have also worked with the Robbinsdale School district providing chair massage as part of their wellness program. I enjoy volunteering with Basset Buddies, a Basset Hound rescue, and Families Moving Forward. My hobbies are gardening, cooking and traveling.
I’ve been a massage therapist and an AMTA member for 7 years. I love the serenity, wellness and peace of mind that I can give to my clients. I hope to help our AMTA-MN chapter maintain a professional standard that all our members can relate to.
Ron lives in Minneapolis. Graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University 12/08 and have been an AMTA member since 11/08. On the MN chapter board as Member at Large 2013-2016, when I was elected Treasurer. Work at Healthy Touch Massage and Wellness 2010 – present, also volunteer at the Aliveness Project, 2008 – present.
I have been a massage therapist since 1999. I went to Sr. Rosalind ‘ School of professional Massage. I live in Minneapolis. My interesting tidbit is: I hiked a small part the Appalachian Trail in Virginia about 4 years ago. I have enjoyed being a part of AMTA mostly for the networking. I have met some great therapists who have become friends. I have been sitting on the sidelines of AMTA for awhile and decided it was time for me to get involved. I look forward to the next two years and representing the members at large.
